I am Rachel, a young college student that takes absolutely horrible care of myself. I've been in a constant state of dehydration for years, getting all the liquids I need to survive from food. Yet during the semester, I will eat Taco Bell, Golden Corral, or a box of Cheez-its to get my sustenance. This is obviously a problem, in no way am I flushing any of this manufactured crap out my system properly and I know I can do better. I get awful news from every doctor I see about how my body basically hates me for these poor food/ no drink choices I make. It is really eating away at me (ho ho ho) and I have a severe lack of energy, sleeping problem, and depression. My boyfriend has convinced me I should change my bad ways and start by drinking water. Thus, I shall keep a blog about it!
If anyone thinks this is stupid, I could care less. This is purely for me to document what happens to my body. I'm ready to be healthy damn it.
Day by day I'm going to list my water intake, what I ate, and how I'm feeling. So I guess here it goes!
How Much Water Did Rachel Drink Today?
- 6 Glasses (with the help of MiO)
- Chicken Panini (Jason's Deli)
- Ice Cream w/ Cone (Jason's Deli)
- Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Chicken w/ scoop of spicy rice and corn off the cob
- Cup of Frosted Wheaties
- Since this is the start, I should mention I have very dry skin, a lot of purple around my eyes, lips are like sandpaper without lip balm applied often, very tired looking skin as well.
- Energy is usually incredibly low, stay glued to a computer a lot, needing 12 hours of sleep with a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon, and today this is the case.
- My weight this morning is 123 lbs. Could stand to lose 20 of those. (I'm 5'0" for measure.)
- I did get a headache after drinking a lot of water, not sure it's related but I'm going to note anything weird.
- I've never lost count of how many times I pee in a day, today I did. Normally I go twice in a day, when I wake up, and afternoon, and it is usually a highlighter yellow. But after like the 7th time I went it was so clear. How amazing!
